• Sulbing (설빙)

This is a very famous Korean ice flake dessert cafe, called Sulbing (설빙). Though serving the summer treat, the cafes almost always packed in any season.

This brand has already opened many branches all over Korea which you can find your nearest one using this store locator:

We are visiting the one in Suwon just across the side gate of Sungkyunkwan University. Place is nice with plenty of seats and various selections of bingsus. The favourite one is injeolmi bingsu (인절미 빙수) which is shaved ice covered by bean powder and chewy rice cakes. Every bingsu served with sweet condensed milk separately and some additional toppings available like ice cream or the sweet red bean paste called ‘pat’ (팥) costs around KRW 1,000. Standard Americano is KRW 3,800 but the main menu is bingsu though they served also toast and other beverages.

They are very creative with bingsu variations and new menus come seasonal. We ordered the winter menu strawberry bingsu (생딸기 설빙) which costs KRW 9,500. You can check the complete menu here
