• Japanese Noodle House in Myeongdong: 정통 일본 우동

If you walk around Myeongdong area and looking for a nice meal this Japanese restaurant can be a good option. The name of this store is 정통 일본 우동 (Jeongthong Ilbon Udong).

Located just beside the Embassy of China, the place with typical Japanese decorations is relatively easy to find though they don't write the name in English. They sell various kinds of Japanese noodles called udon (우동) with other side dishes. So, the way you order is: order the udon - choose the additional side dishes like fried veggies, boiled egg, or rice ball - choose drinks - then pay.

Koala ordered a 옛날 우동 (yetnal udong) which is noodle with half boiled egg, seaweed, and tofu skin filled with glass noodles costs KRW 4800. I ordered a plain udon called 가케 우동 (gakhe udong) costs KRW 3500 and picked fried chicken side dish costs KRW 1500.

The noodles taste great, love the soup! Try the fried tofu side dish if you come to this place. Restaurant opens daily from 10:00-22:00.
